Planning information—not a safety forecast
Bite scores, fishing windows, water notes, tide displays, weather summaries, moon phases, and suggested locations are informational planning aids. They are estimates and may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. A bite score does not guarantee fish activity or safe conditions.
Your responsibility on the water
Before leaving, consult official marine forecasts, warnings, tide stations, navigation notices, and local authorities. Assess weather, currents, surf, water temperature, visibility, vessel condition, personal ability, and required safety equipment. Never rely on this site for emergency, navigation, or life-safety decisions. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service or the U.S. Coast Guard.
Fishing rules and access
You are responsible for current licenses, seasons, size and bag limits, protected species, boating rules, property boundaries, closures, and access restrictions. Listings do not grant access to private property or guarantee that a location is open or suitable.
Third-party data and businesses
Conditions are drawn from sources including NOAA and the National Weather Service. Business listings, inventory, hours, contact details, external links, and map directions can change. Call businesses directly and verify critical information. Mention of a location or business is not an endorsement unless clearly identified as sponsored content.
Catch journal
The journal is a convenience feature stored in your browser. R. McGarry CO. is not responsible for entries lost through browser settings, clearing storage, device loss, software changes, or other causes. Maintain your own copy of anything important.
Intellectual property
The Gulf Coast Bite name, original design, scoring presentation, written content, and site code are owned by R. McGarry CO. or used with permission, except for public data and third-party names or marks belonging to their respective owners. You may use the site for personal, noncommercial purposes but may not reproduce or commercially exploit original site materials without permission.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, R. McGarry CO. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on site information, outdoor activity, third-party services, or loss of locally stored journal entries. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
